//Culebra Image Text
CuleText1 = "The island and lighthouse of Culebrita are framed by the archway connecting the master bedrooms to the main wing of the house. There is no water well drilling here, all the water is captured off the roof and stored in cistern chambers in what would be the basement space in a typical house. You can see the piping that diverts the roof collection water to the cisterns.";

CuleText2 = "I designed the interior woodwork and custom furniture which was executed by myself and local finish carpenters, in Spanish Cedar which withstands the depredations of various insects and rot. There are 3 master bedrooms where each of the owners had me customize my original bed design for variety and according to their preferences.";

CuleText3 = "This is the Southwest view from their private beach, off of which there is great snorkeling. You can see how I tried to set the house into the natural swale, instead of on the high point of the land. When winds on this island can blow close to 200MPH such as when Hurricane Hugo went through, it's best to be tucked in.";

CuleText4 = "In the living room it's simplicity, airiness and wide open views. The driftwood gray of the roof and trusses combines with the warm terra cotta floors and white walls to create a nice island ambiance.  At the top left you can see how the timber rafters are cast right into the top of the concrete walls there are also re-bar ties holding each rafter cast into the walls below.";

CuleText5 = "The 5 main bedrooms are arranged one deep with an Eastern exposure to capture both views and trade winds for cross ventilation. The rooms are accessed by exterior arcades rather then interior halls, a typical Caribbean feature.";

CuleText6 = "The kitchen is an old - style design, the white buttresses between the cabinet faces are parged concrete serving to carry the concrete countertops. The cabinet boxed were then scribed in for as impervious a barrier as one can hope for against the various pests which exist. Counters were custom colored with local sand added in to the mix, when polished down, the bits of shell and coral emerge adding color and interest.";

CuleText7 = "The pool terrace is down a level and to the Southwest, sheltered from the Easterly trade winds, which are generally quite brisk. Despite the typical 80 to 90 degree temperature the wind can make it very uncomfortable when you are wet.";

//Barnstable Image Text
BarnText1 = "The Custom half-round window is reflected in the open trusswork of the covered porch off the living room in this work in progress shot. The panels below are covering what is now a 22' wide by 8' high series of sliding French doors that frame the sunsets over Rocky Neck.";

BarnText2 = "This photo shows the 2008 additions, starting at the tower with the new living room at the left.";

BarnText3 = "A winding stair accesses guest rooms located above the former garage.";

BarnText4 = "My client, who is a very talented Interior Designer, re-discovered the embossed leather panels once again being produced in France from designs and molds originally produced centuries ago. They were custom colored per our instructions and set in a custom mahogany surround made by our Millwork Contractor.";

BarnText5 = "The Pergola and pool gates were custom fabricated to my designs in the 1997 renovation.";

BarnText6 = "The light tower above the entryway and connecting hall linking the existing house to the new living room is especially nice when lit up at night.";

BarnText7 = "The second floor spaces above the original house were low but I feel this vanity and shelf design in the master bath works with the lowness instead of fighting it.";

//Wellfleet Image Text
WellText1 = "The new house captures some of the spirit of the old, but the first floor level has been raised to offer a water view.";

WellText2 = "The dining area opens off the living room and creates one breezy wide open space perfect for Summer gatherings.";

WellText3 = "Vertical grain fir was used throughout the house as a unifying element, as shown here in the cabinets and custom-designed sink stand for the master bath.";

WellText4 = "The expansive back deck gets some shade in the afternoon and provides an outdoor connection to most of the first floor rooms and guest rooms.";

WellText5 = "The living room's 15' ceiling also carries the roof deck above. The chimney breast is stucco with inset stones, shells and sea glass from the nearby beach at Duck Harbor as well as a few other unusual  specimens from the US and abroad.";

WellText6 = "I think this kitchen is cool even when it's hot ! Mexican Tile, Vertical Grain Fir and Pietra Cardozo countertops.";

WellText7 = "The roofdeck above the Living Room now has a great view of Provincetown stretching out to the North and Wellfleet Bay to the South.";

//Brookline Image Text
BrookText1 = "We refined the trim, added the 1/2 timber pattern on the projecting gable and re-designed the extended entry roof on timber brackets to provide some shelter and style at the front entry.";

BrookText2 = "This is the before photo of the front, fairly devoid of detail.";

BrookText3 = "The Garden House.";

BrookText4 = "The Garden Entry.";

BrookText5 = "When you need a hood in the middle of a space, this stainless and glass model is about as unobtrusive as you can get. The box bay window was added for plants and light.";

BrookText6 = "The warm reflective Custom lacquer finish on the kitchen cabinets serves as a nice counterpoint to the stainless finishes and dark wall covering. The oversize edging detail on the granite and the custom stainless pulls complete the picture and provide a nice bold look.";

BrookText7 = "This Custom built-in provides more storage than 2 large dressers and accommodates the TV as well. The ends are radiused to a 1/4 round to reduce bulkiness but are fully operational for additional storage.";

//Newton Image Text
NewtText1 = "Lighting, color and materials help to warm the space up.";

NewtText2 = "The kitchen in this Newton Carriage house felt more cold corral than heart of the home.";

NewtText3 = "The bath had similar cold qualities.";

NewtText4 = "The custom designed and site-built vanity and medicine cabinet were a worthwhile upgrade.";

NewtText5 = "The living room was a 'Knotty Pine' stab from the past.";

NewtText6 = "A bit less wood brightened up the space, and the new mantel with Art & Crafts tile provides a much improved look over the former fireplace treatment.";

NewtText7 = "Since the Kitchen space was limited , this new pantry, that features a farm sink with an Irish Limestone counter, really helps out when entertaining as well as for everyday use.";

NewtTextA = "AFTER";
